I guess you will be going through the mill at the moment with this cruel disease, but I know you will be getting all the love, care and attention that a special boy like you deserves. Hope you and your family are coping as well as can be expected and just to say we are always thinking of you.

4. So sad to read about yet another child with this awful disease. My heart goes out to you all and especially Aidan. My niece and nephew John & Bridie have Batten Disease, they were diagnosed in 2004, John in June and Bridie in September. I understand the heartache you are living with and like yourselves live only for the day. We give John & Bridie "Maximol Solutions" which is a vitamin supplement but has had very beneficial advantages to their well being, we ran out for about three weeks at one point and noticed a decline in their awareness, eating etc, even the hospital has agreed this is benefitting the childrens health. Also, another vitamin we give them is called "Noni Juice". Both these vitamin supplements cannot harm the child in any way but have many benefits in helping the children maintain their appetite and mental awareness.
